The Twelfth Zodiac Sign: Pisces

We've made it to Pisces season -- the last zodiac archetype of the twelve before Aries kick starts the fresh, enthusiastic, dynamic energy of spring! Because Pisces represents the end or dissolution of the symbolical story of the zodiac, it is said to contain a little bit of each preceding archetype or sign. In a general sense, this is why Pisces is known to be so compassionate, empathetic, and fluid (sometimes to a fault), because it sees itself reflected in most individuals and life paths. It just sort of "gets it," because, according to Pisces, we are all ONE and our differences are just an illusion. We're all part of a greater collective. There is a life-weariness in Pisces, an acute sensitivity to all the pain and suffering in the world. This is why it's associated with escapism in all forms, a rich fantasy life, mysticism/spirituality, and boundless creativity and imagination -- anything to rescue and transport the self out of the drudgery of human existence. This is why it paints, absorbs music, draws, day dreams, waxes nostalgic, writes poetry, watches endless romantic comedies, naps, and zones out in the space of oblivion. Because Pisces represents endings and dissolution, it is acutely aware that the only constant is change, that "for everything there is a season". This is why it's associated with letting go, surrender, and cultivating serenity and acceptance, because, at the end of the day, that is really the only form of control we have in the face of chaos, flux, and uncertainty.
If you know a Pisces, be extra sweet on em'; they often carry around quite a burden, but often times you'll never know. They're usually too focused on you and not themselves.
