The Mystery of Astrology

Updated: Aug 1

Astrology continues to blow my mind. I've given several readings in the past few months, knowing nothing (or at least very little) about each person's background story. The correspondence between the narrative I tentatively construct before the reading, and the narrative the person provides during the reading, is truly astounding. It gives my skeptical, empirical mind the satisfaction that something legitimate is occurring, even if I can't explain why or how it works. When I analyze a chart and also tune in to my intuition, it's so interesting to watch someone's story unfold and come alive. And that's what I think is so missing in our culture: connecting with our personal myth, which imbues our lives with a sense of meaning, purpose, direction, and heroism. Who doesn't want to be the bad-ass hero of their own story?

I do believe we are souls in human bodies who came here to "tell a story," to live out our personal myths. And a birth chart is the framework -- the "loom" -- that helps us weave together and bring into focus the story we're here to tell.
